Transport
Precise Support helps people with disabilities travel and get around. We have reliable and easy-to-use transportation options for people who want to go to work or school, get around town, go to appointments, look for work, or run errands.
Some NDIS plans may also include taxis or other forms of private transportation for people who can’t get around on their own. Precise Support can also help participants by giving them a van that is accessible by wheelchair. Our goal is for you to be able to move around on your own and participate in your community. We also offer private transportation. Whether you need to get to school, a doctor’s appointment, or the store, we can help you get where you need to go.
The bookings must be scheduled in advance and can be used for:
- Medical appointments
- Work
- Place of education
- Local shopping centre
- Visit to the local chemist
- Community events, groups or clubs
- Park or library.
The NDIS provides three levels of Transport funding for the participants who are unable to drive or access public transport without substantial difficulty due to their disability.
- Level 1: You may be eligible for this funding, if you have a goal towards improving your community access even though you are not working, studying or attending a day program.
- Level 2: You may be eligible for this funding, if you are working or studying part-time (up to 15 hrs / week), participating in day programs and for other social, recreational or leisure activities.
- Level 3: You may be eligible for this funding, if you are currently working, looking for work, or studying (at least 15 hrs / week).
